It should not have taken me this long to realize the benefits of Word Press, but now that I have it is one of my first recommendations to my clients who want some control of their own over their website. Template design and customization allows for a completely unique presence for my clients, with an easy to use interface on the other side for them to manage their simple updates and changes.

Yes I am a firm believer now, and the next one I work on will be creating a new design for this one, and implementing it as this current design was only meant to be temporary anyway.

So I am delighted to add one more thing to my repertoire … Word Press template customization and design.

So I find myself volunteering my time and skills to some avtar community/forum sites at the moment for either design or code or both. It is certainly a challenging area to play in and a good chance to really delve into the backend structure of forum boards.

It also helps me keep up on my coding skills, which at my current contract were be smothered by less intensive tasks. I’m also working on a Word Press site for a company as well, which meant tweaking the style to match the gaphic designers layout as well as some functional restructuring.

Code still excites me and I love all the puzzles and challenges that come with it.
