ActionEco.org Website

This was a fun and interesting project because I had not previously delved very far into using Word Press. Now of course I think it is one of the best platforms for establishing a site with an easy user interface, especially for those who want to make posts and entries like a blog.

The original design/template was purchased and a graphic designer put their spin on it for the final look, so it was then my job to augment the templates to fit the desired look. There were quite a few specialty codes needed to get some of the added functionality that the clients required, which was the fun part.

All in all, a great coding project and I enjoyed working on it thoroughly.

New Project!

by madbunny on Feb.02, 2010, under News

I just got confirmation on a small project to handle the reskin of a website, which is wonderful. The contact already has the design done and ready to go, I just have to implement it and tie in the back end database stuff. For that I just need the PHP for those pages in particular so I can work around the calls to the database and format it per the design.

I also have a CMS to implement for another client and a database to set up for products on another client’s site. This is all in addition to my full time work … clearly I like to keep busy, but it all helps to keep m skills sharp and I enjoy it.

Laughing Buddha Tattoo & Peircing Website

Originally the project was going to be a redesign, but in the end the folks at the shop decided they liked the look that was currently in place (which was entirely in Flash). So I simply used that design as the foundation and built it to be compliant with current Web 2.0 standards. The navigation on the left utilizes jQuery to make a nice dynamic menu, which they loved about the Flash site. Each artist gallery also makes use of jQuery to make slideshow galleries of artwork for easy presentation.

This was a fun one to work on and is still ongoing with sites and updates to the content.
