This site is dedicated to the Japanese anime/manga series "Gravitation" by Maki Murakami. It's a wonderful series, with genuine characters, a well-developed story, and gorgeous artwork. It was the artwork that caught my interest first, as I saw a calendar at a con in 1999, and they were selling it dirt cheap to get rid of it. Needless to say, I bought it and then went looking for everything I could find on the series. Which, back then, wasn't much .. in English anyway.
The content here is primarily from the Official Gravitation Homepage (in Japanese), which I merely translated and then designed the page to put the information on. All images, characters and information are copyright to Maki Murakami, Sony Magazines/Sony Visual Works and their respective partners. This information is to be used for entertainment purposes and not for profit in any way. This ESPECIALLY applies to the translations, as I am NOT a professional and make no money doing this. It's simply a service for you, the fans.
Finally, a quick note about the series itself, it is considered "shounen-ai" which means "boy's love" in Japanese. Basically, if the mere thought of two guys even being in love disturbs you, then you might want to visit another page. While there is nothing graphic contained on these pages, consider yourself warned. Any complaints or ignorant flames will be ignored.
Updates
13 Aug 06 - Okay, if anyone is even still reading these updates ... I commend you. I know I have been very ... VERY ... bad about posting anything, and frankly the whole site needs an update, but that is for another time. For now, I just want to get out a few things:
- Check back for a link to a website that will feature an article about Gravitation and it's fans, that I interviewed for.
- Translations are still forthcoming, even if no one needs them (it's a personal thing).
- MSN Group closing end of August!!
- NEW Forum created on my own server, so sign up!! If you have trouble, e-mail me.
25 Oct 04 - Amazingly enough, I have finished Track 30, one more to go and volume 7 will be done. I'm sure many of you probably thought I had given up or something. No way. I know that you can get the english translated versions in stores now, and they are already on volume 8 (which I am not) ... but I am not doing this anymore because there is a need. I'm continuing to do it because I made it a personal goal, and I refuse to quit. If you grow tired of waiting on my translations, then I encourage you to go buy the TokyoPop ones. When I started this project nearly 5 years ago, I had alot more free time, it was easier to get them done.
With that said, please do not email me and ask when I will have more translations up. Y'know what? I will put them up here as soon as they are done, I can promise you that. Unfortunately I have more commitments in my life than translating, and so it often takes a backseat to the rest of my life, if not a permanent vacation. I truly appreciate the emails of support and enouragement to keep going with this project. You guys don't know how much it helps keep me going sometimes. Anyway, thank you for your continued support and patience, and now ... go read Track 30 and enjoy!
